VEGAN PLACES TO EAT IN NORWAY
We have put together an overview of all restaurants in Norway that only serve vegan food. Oslo does the best with a total of 12 vegan eateries.
Oslo
Cultivate Food
In 2021, Cultivate Food opened in the heart of Grünerløkka. They offer delicious vegan food at a good price. On the menu they have burgers, toast, warm dishes, salads and cakes. Something for everyone! They often organize events like wine tasting, beer tasting, quiz and exciting lectures. Norsk vegansamfunn also often has vegan meets at Cultivate. Dogs are welcome!

Cloud Café
Cloud Café is one of Oslo’s newest additions. They opened fall 2023 and with their unique interior, they quickly became a hit on social media. At Cloud you can enjoy delicious beverages, smoothie bowls, pancakes and pastry. Dogs are also welcome!

Dirty Vegan
Dirty vegan is located at Barcode Street Food. They have the best vegan junk food! Yummy burgers, dirty fries, a salad, onion rings and nuggets. For dessert you can enjoy their brownies. We have brought non-vegans who loved the food and didn’t believe it’s vegan!

Eat Happy Vegan
Eat Happy Vegan is a family run restaurant who serves delicious Vietnamese dishes. When we visit it’s difficult to choose just one dish because everything is so good! Our favorites are dumplings, banh mi and vegan ‘beef’ wok. In Fall 2023 they opened in a new location in addition to their original one.

Falafel ‘n’ Juice
Falafel ‘n’ juice offers vegan fast food, where falafel and juice are their main ingredient. They use fresh fruit and vegetables. For falafel you can choose between different flavors. Their falafel in a roll can also be gluten free.

Jamal’s Falafel
In Oslo sentrum you will find the newly opened eatery Jamal’s Falafel. They make traditional Syrian dishes vegan style. You can enjoy six different types of falafel in a roll, falafel dinner, hummus and french fries.

Nordvegan
Nordvegan is located in the heart of Oslo and very central, only a few minutes from National. They have buffet-style so you can choose what you want! They also have a good selection of vegan treats like chocolate cake.

Oslo Raw quickly became popular with their Instagram-friendly interior and dishes. Here you can enjoy raw cakes, delicious beverages, waffles, avocado toast, coconut yogurt and more!

Papegøye
Papegøye is a cafe and wine bar in Grønland, Oslo. They make their own special coffee, natural wine, cocktails and offer local beer. They also have a spread of pastry, salads and sandwiches. You can buy Bakerina’s yummy cookies here! Dogs are welcome.

Two Monkey’s make delicious vegan street food. Before they only had a food truck, but now they have opened an eatery in Kulturhuset. They serve kebab, sandwiches, salads and bowls. Norway’s best kebab!

Dirty Vegan
Dirty Vegan was opened in 2020 by a vegan friend group who wants to offer animal friendly junk food which is so tasty! This is the first vegan fast food chain in Norway. Here you’ll get the best burgers, dirty fries, onion rings and nuggets.

Vegan Pop Up Café
Vegan Pop Up Café is a vegan food truck and they offer catering. They also have food courses for children, businesses and groups. They want to serve healthy food without any animal products, refined sugar and mostly ecological.

In beautiful surroundings at Høysand Palma Kiosk is located. While you enjoy a day at the beach, you can eat yummy soft ice, loaded fries, hot dogs and fries, toast and donuts. They also recently opened a cafe at Sarpsborg station!

Seeds Cafe
At Seeds they try to make as much as possible ecological and everything is gluten free. They want to make amazing dishes and show the people what you can eat everyday without hurting the planet. Seeds also offers catering!

Drammen
Criollo Sjokoladebar
Who doesn't dream of having a vegan chocolate bar in their stomping grounds?? Criollo makes the dream come true for the population in Drammen! They serve delicious chocolate, cakes, snacks, coffee, warm chocolate and simple lunch dishes. Everything is based on their own ingredients. If you’re somewhere else and want to take a trip to Criollo, the cafe is only two minutes from the station. You can also order some of their products home.

Lofoten
Polarhagen
Polarhagen is a vegan and organic farm in Lofoten. It is run by the couple Parsa and Lisa. They hope to inspire others to eat more ethical, locally produced food and become more environmentally conscious. In the summer semester they have pop up kitchen with pizza, beverages and dessert. The best pizza we’ve had! Their pop up kitchen is the only place in Lofoten where everything is vegan.

Bodø
Maloca Coffe & Food
The coffee shop Maloca opened in 2020 and is Bodø’s first vegan eatery. They serve high quality coffee and offer coffee from several distilleries. They also have lunch and dinner dishes, pastry and cold drinks. The cafe is decorated with beautiful art from local artists.

Mat fra hagen
We visited Mat fra Hagen the first time in 2018 and it’s some of the best food we’ve had! Last summer we took a little visit and the food was just as delicious as we remembered! You can choose between burgers, falafel wraps, acai bowls, salad bar, raw balls and fresh juice.

Stammen
Stammen cafe and bar opened in 2016. The people behind wanted a gathering place for everyone. Their vision is to create a local community that takes care of the earth and future. They often have events. Stammen serve dishes with organic ingredients. They have a varied menu consisting of stews, soups and burgers.

Stilken NTNU
Stilken is NTNU’s first vegan eatery on campus! Here you can buy fresh juice, smoothies, homemade muesli bars, different types of bowls, fruit- and veggie beaker and warm dish of the day.

Bellies
Bellies is Stavanger’s first vegan restaurant. Their menu is seasonal and they only use local ingredients. It’s recommended to book a table in advance and set aside time to enjoy 8 courses.

Chay Vegan makes dishes which are inspired by the Vietnamese kitchen. They want to show that vegan food can be tasty, exciting and varied. Here you can enjoy spring rolls, dumplings, Vietnamese waffles, pho and more! For dessert they offer crème brûlèe.

Sølvgryta
Sølvgryta is the first and only vegan cafe in Kongsberg. It’s run by Adventist Church which wants it to be a gathering place for regular guests and others.
